Fall Quilt Market Preview

It's Market Time!

It's Quilt Market Time!  Ok - well, ALMOST Quilt Market time.  Which means....it's time to shop!  Yep, fill up your shopping cart (virtual only, sorry)!

Oh....but can you imagine if they DID have shopping carts at Quilt Market?  Great big, giant, enormous shopping carts?  And you could pile bolts and bolts of fabric, stacks of rulers and piles of patterns in the cart? Fun!!!

Or is that just me?  No?  I didn't think so!  If you are going to Quilt Market, stop by the Island Batik Booth (#622) and say hello.

If not, here's your sneak peek at what I'll be offering this Quilt Market!  Contact me for ordering information.

Introducing Elementz, my newest fabric line for Island Batik!

Elementz is a bright collection of batiks with motifs inspired the the natural elements, but with a graphic interpretation.  I wanted to capture the energy that surrounds us every day and inspire lively projects - and smiles!

Elementz will be available from Island Batik, and fabrics will begin shipping in January 2018. (Hint - we will have a blog hop in January featuring some of your favorite designers and their projects featuring the Elementz line, so stay tuned!)

And every fabric line needs new patterns, right?  Absolutely!  Here are the new patterns featuring my new Elementz line:

Elementz BOM:

My newest Block of the Month features 9 different paper pieced blocks that are far easier than they may appear.

The patterns will be packaged as a set and can easily be broken apart for distribution on a monthly basis for shops running a monthly program, or sold as a single 9 block pattern.

Shop guides and shop kits are available as well!

Cyclone:
Strip piecing and a template (or Creative Grids' 30 degree and 60 degree rulers) make this energetic quilt a snap to piece.

If you ARE at Quilt Market, be sure to drop by Demo Alley on Monday to see my demo of the construction of this quilt using the Creative Grid rulers!

Sound Waves:
Skinny strips are pieced with a guided improvisational technique that makes this quilt a great introduction to improv style quilts for quilters of almost any level.

It is jelly roll friendly - or you can create your own jelly roll to get the color gradation effect shown.

Is it bad to admit this is probably one of my favorite quilts ever?!

Ins and Outs
An old favorite gets a fresh new look.  If you aren't familiar with this pattern, Ins and Outs is a jelly roll friendly, quilt as you go pattern for a full table set: table runner, 2 placemats and 4 mug rugs, all featuring the fun dimensional woven effect you see on the table runner.

This makes a great class or workshop - I've done both!  And this pattern is available now!

Triple Play:
One pattern, two blocks, three quilts - that's the Triple Play package.  These quilts are fun, easy strip pieced quilts -and who doesn't want three different options for a quilt project?!

Other New Projects: Inspired by my Spring Island Batik line, Batiks Go Retro (more on that below), I've got two new patterns available soon - Retro TV Pincushions and Broadcasts, a set of three retro tv pillows.

Retro TV Pincushions:  three different retro style tvs with fused applique and simple edge stitch - and absolutely adorable stitched up in wool felt.

Broadcast:  Three different 16" fused applique retro style tv pillows.  So quick, easy and charming you'll want to whip up all three to make your couch time super stylish and comfy!

Don't forget that my Batiks Go Retro fabric line from Island Batik is shipping now.  So it's not to late to get your own fabulous grouping of fun fabrics!  Contact Island Batik or your local rep to order.
