Pattern Corrections
Sometimes mistakes happen. Let's just admit it - they do. Despite all efforts, something gets overlooked, or added incorrectly and there you go - a mistake! Rest assured, I make every effort to ensure they DON'T happen. I have a slew of awesome testers (want to be one? Contact me!) that painstakingly sew each and every pattern and provide detailed feedback to give you the best, most accurate instructions possible. But for those times when even the best of us mess up, here's the corrections page. I thank you for your purchase of a Tamarinis pattern, and am truly grateful for your understand when that oops occurs! Happy stitching!
The Final Frontier Section (Month 12)

Ashley Elayne:
Fabric 3 - pattern requires 7/8 yard; precutting should read "cut (6) 4 1/2" strips; subcut (6) 4 1/2" x 24 1/2" strips"
All patterns ordered after 1/30/14 will reflect the above correction. Apologies for any confusion.
Boho Bliss Block 1
Fabric 3: Should read: Cut (8) 2 1/2" x 2" rectangles (not 2 1/4" x 2")
All patterns ordered after 3/20/17 (directly from www.tamarinis.com) will reflect above corrections.
Boho Bliss Block 5 (original version)
Cream Batik: Cut (16) 1" x 3 1/4" rectangles (instead of (16) 1" x 5" rectangles)

Boundaries
Cutting: Fabric A Block 1 should be 1 1/4" x 10" rectangle, Fabric C Block 1 should be 3" x 7 1/4"
Cutting and Steps 1 and 10 have been corrected to reflect these revised sizes. No change in yardages.
If you've already cut, don't fret. Simply adjust your seam allowance at those steps to allow for the slight undersize!
Calm Winter Barn Version:
It was brought to my attention that the Winter Barn Panel is only 22 1/2" wide. If using this panel, please make the following adjustments:
Eliminate the (2) Block 2 pinwheel blocks. First is to the right of Block 1 at the beginning and second is to the the left of Block 1 at the end of the top and bottom block borders.
Apologies for any confusion regarding the panel size.
Celebrate Mini Quilt
Fabric A 1 1/2" x 3" should read for Letter B A5, as should template (not A4)
Fabric F 1 1/2" x 1 3/4" should read for Letter BA3, as should template (not A5)
1 1/2" x 4" should read for Letter BA4, as should template (not A3)

Congrats Mini Quilt
Fabric C 2" x 2 3/4" should read for Letter O B4, not Letter R

Contempo
Cutting: Eliminate Fabric F (teal or yellow) 6 1/2" strip from cutting - yardage needed = 1/4 yard each
Dazzle
Fabric D - on cover should read 1 yard. Pattern (inside) is correct
Fabric E: Cutting SHOULD read (3) 4" strips.
Deco
For Fabric C: (4) 1 1/4" strips, (12) 1 1/4" x 3 1/2" rectangles
Direction
For Option 2, you need (18) 5" squares from Fabrics A, B, C, D, F, G, H and I. Fabric yardage is sufficient for this.
Elementz (original version)
Block 4 Fabric F: (1) 1 1/2" strip SHOULD read (1) 1 3/4" strip, G6=B, G8=F, H6=F, H8=B
Block 5 Fabric A: (1) 2" x 6" (J6, K6) SHOULD read (2) 2 1/4" x 6"
Block 5 Fabric E: (1) 1 1/2" strip SHOULD read (1) 1 1/4" strip, (5) 1 1/4" x 7"
Lavender Fields Version Block 7: Paper piecing pattern is mis-marked. Please follow the CUTTING directions for Fabric A. N1/P1, N5/P5 and N7/P7 SHOULD read Fabric A, not Fabric G.
Block 8 Fabric A: (2) 2 1/2" strips, (8) 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" (Q1, R1)

Block 9 Fabric F: 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" (S3, T3, U3, V3)
Make (1) copy of each pattern
Excavation
Fabric A - should read (4) 2" strips, not 2 (does not affect yardage - sufficient yardage is called for - just a typo!)
FAVORITE THINGS
The pattern BACK ONLY lists Fabric C and Fabric D yardages incorrectly. They SHOULD read Fabric C 1 1/2 yards, Fabric D 5/8 yard.
All patterns shipped after 7/16/19 will reflect the above correction. Apologies for any confusion.
Fizz:
Block 9 - Step 1 - SHOULD read: Fabric C for Print 1. The newly recolored version (in black/white/gray or brights) has been corrected.
Block 10 - units should be labeled B1/B2.
Framework
Page 5, Step 20 - Fabric C should be listed at 1 1/2" (as per the cutting instructions!).
Happy Mini Quilt
Fabric A - the 2 3/4" x 3" cuts are for Letter P B1
Fabric E - should read: (1) 2 1/2" strip
Homestead (Halloween AND Christmas version)
CRIB SIZE ONLY!!!
Fabric B (6) 2 1/2" strips
Fabric D (4) 2 1/2" strips
Fabric E (2) 2 1/2" strips
Horizons
The diagram on the top of page 2 has the segments labeled backward (as you are looking at the fabric side). The good news - this does NOT impact the block construction, as all units are symmetrical. However, if you need a reference, here is the corrected label image:
Jangle (only precutting affected is shown below)
Fabric A: should read 1 yd
Cut (6) 3 ½” strips (Block B, Block E, Block F, Block G)
(4) strips reserved for Block F and Block G
Subcut: (2) 3 ½” x 6 ½” rectangles (Block C)

Cut (5) 3 ½” strips (Block A, Block F)
(2) strips reserved for Block F
Subcut (8) 3 ½” x 12 ½” rectangles (final quilt assembly)
(3) 3 ½” squares (Block A)
Fabric C: should read
Cut (7) 3 ½” strips (Block A, Block G)
(2) strips reserved for BlockG
Subcut (7) 3 ½” x 12 ½” rectangles (Block A, Block B, Block E)
(7) 3 ½” x 6 ½” rectangles (Block B, Block D, Block E)
(10) 3 ½” squares (Block A, Block C, Block D)
Fabric D: should read 3/4 yd
Eliminate the 3 1/2" strip
Mad Science
Page 15 - cutting directions for Fabric I were accidentally omitted. Should read:
(5) 7 1/4" strips: Subcut (24) 7 1/4" squares. Cut each square in half corner to corner twice (QSTs). Note: To achieve the desired effect, you will only be able to use half of the QSTs (the ones with the stripe running along the long straight edge. The other half (remaining QSTs) can be used for a different project or on the back of the quilt.
Mad Science 2:
Quilt Three, Fabric D, for Paper Piecing C2 SHOULD read (4) 1 1/2" x 4 1/2" rectangles
Test Tube Block - when piecing, reverse Units B and C (put C to the left, B to the right).
Meadow (Advice from a Sunflower Version - five fabrics):
Step 5 should read: "wrong side of a Fabric C 2 ½” square"
Step 7 should read: "Sew (1) Fabric C 2 ½” HST"
Modern Churn (patterns shipping from me directly AFTER 7/31/22 will reflect increased yardage)
Fabric A - recommend bumping up yardage from 1 5/8 to 2 yards
Fabric D - increase to 3/8 yd
Revised Fabric A cutting using 1 5/8 (it is TIGHT but will work):
Fabric A 1 5/8 yards
(2) 11 ½” strips
Subcut (4) 11 ½” squares
(4) 5 ½” squares
(1) 4 ½” x 10 ½” rectangle
(1) 4 ½” square
(4) 3 ½” squares
(1) 10 ½” strip
Subcut: (1) 10 ½” square
(1) 10 ½” x 12 ½” rectangle
(1) 4 ½” x 14 ½” rectangle
(1) 6 ½” strip
Subcut: (1) 6 ½” x 14 ½” rectangle
(1) 6 ½” x 10 ½” rectangle
(1) 6 ½” square
(3) 4 ½” strips
Subcut: (1) 4 ½” x 32 ½” rectangle
(1) 4 ½” x 22 ½” rectangle
(2) 4 ½” x 20 ½” rectangles
(2) 4 ½” x 12 ½” rectangles
(1) 1 ½” strip
(2) 1 ¼” strips
Night of Lights
Fabric 1 (2) 5" strips should read Cut (6) 5" x 9 1/2" rectangles
Fabric 1 - (6) 2 1/2" strips should read: (20) 2 1/4" x 4" rectangles for the WH block) (if you want more "wiggle room" in your piecing, you can cut at the larger 2 1/2" x 4" size listed)
Apologies for any confusion.
Peaks and Valleys
If working with directional fabric, check the orientation of your fabric's direction BEFORE cutting. You MAY need to cut the strip ALONG the selvedge rather than selvedge to selvedge, or cut the strips 4 1/2" wide (rather than the specified 6 1/2") and cut your rectangles accordingly (user choice based on fabric and # of cuts).
Perpetual
Fabric C cutting (all sizes) should read 6 1/4" strips, not 5 3/4" or 2 3/4" strips. All subcutting is correct.
Sea Salt
If using a copy dated 2016:
Borders should be cut: 57 1/4" (right side), 45 1/4" (bottom), 45 1/4" and 21 1/4" (left side), 21 1/4" and 33 1/4" (top).
Seriatum
Fabric B: if using a print that runs perpendicular to the selvedge (such as the bat print - my apologies, thought it ran ALONG the selvedge), you will need to cut (3) 4" strips and (6) 2" strips. Sew the 4" strips together end to end; cut (2) 4" x 53" rectangles. Sew the 2" strips together end to end; cut (4) 2" x 53" rectangles. The original yardage provided is more than sufficient to allow for the fussy cutting and piecing.
Silver Linings
Fabric A 3 7/8" should read Fabric A 3 1/2"
Solstice
Fabric G - First cut SHOULD read (3) 2 1/2" strips, NOT (3) 3" strips. Apologies for any confusion.
NOTE: If you are working with narrower fabric, increase yardage of backing to 5 1/2 yards (easy backing with one long vertical seam, but a LOT left over) or add an additional yard and add piecing on the bottom.
Sound Waves
It was brought to my attention that the original pattern (not the Gradations version) does NOT include a side border, but I did picture one with a side border on the back cover.
All instructions and cutting are correct. However, if you want to add the side border on the left and right side, you will need an additional 1/4 yard, and need to cut (3) 2 1/2" strips to create the side border.
All patterns shipped by me after 3/2/2020 will reflect this change.
Southerly
Fabric A - cutting from 3 1/2" strips should read:
(40) 3 ½” x 3” rectangles (Block 1)
(40) 3 ½” x 2” rectangles (Block 1, Block 2)
Chart page 2 - for D/B, E/B and F/B units, make (60) each
STRATA
If using the gradations fabric, the CORRECT yardage is 4 3/4 yards. Patterns shipped after 12/5/18 will reflect this correction.
Block A Medium strips should be 2 3/4" wide (Block One) and 2 1/2" wide (Block Two).
Tall Timber
Fabric H - (2) 3 1/2" strips; cut (10) 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" rectangles (Tree 1, A13)
All Patterns shipped after 3/31/18 will reflect this correction.
Tartary
Cutting:
Fabric B - read ALL cutting before making your cuts, and cut ALONG the selvedge first (if using first option).
IF YOUR FABRIC IS NOT A USABLE 42 ½”:
a) (3) 6½” strips. For this fabric only, cut strips along the selvedge.
i) (1) 42½” x 6½” strip
ii) (2) 24½” x 6½” strips (cut remainder into (6) 2” x 20 ½” strips for use in piecing middle border strips)
b) (4) 2” strips (middle border). Sew all 2” strips together in sets of 3, along the short side.
Subcut into: (2) 54½” x 2” and (2) 63½” x 2” strips
c) (2) 7¾” strips. Subcut into (8) 7¾” squares (hourglass blocks)
IF YOUR FABRIC IS A USABLE 42 ½”:
d) (2) 7¾” strips. Subcut into (8) 7¾” squares (hourglass blocks)
e) (3) 6½” strips.
i) (1) 42½” x 6½” strip
ii) (2) 24½” x 6½” strips
f) (8) 2” strips (middle border). Sew strips together in sets of 3, along the short side. Subcut into: (2) 54½” x 2” and (2) 63½” x 2” strips
Step 8 (From the black fabric) you need FOURTEEN squares, NOT twelve.
All patterns printed after 04/20/17 will reflect the above correction. Apologies for any confusion.
Tartary 2
Tartary is easiest when stitched with non-directional fabrics. ALL cutting is listed for non-directional fabrics. However, THREE of the Forest Floor fabrics (those shown in Tartary 2) are directional. (Apologies - was not aware the print ran opposite of what I thought!). While I recommend letting those fabrics "lay on their sides", if you prefer to cut with the direction of the print, you can find alternate cutting directions by clicking the link below. NOTE: This will allow you to control the DIRECTION of the print, but the motifs may not line up when you join the smaller cuts. To the Point
Cutting Corrections:
(1) 2 1/2" x 5 1/2" should read: (1) 2 1/2" x 5" (section 5)
(1) 2 1/2" x 3 1/4" should read: (2) 2 1/2" x 3 1/4" (section 11 affected)
(2) 2 1/2" x 2 3/4" should read: (1) 2 1/2" x 2 3/4" (due to above correction)
Diamond 19: 36 1/2" (Step 14.5 and Diamond Cutting Diagram) should read 37 1/2" (which means you'll only have 1" left over)
Typo - Step 1.2: should read "Sew (1) 6 3/4" x 2 1/2" background to (1) 2 1/2" x ......". Cutting is listed correctly.
Step 7.7: should read "Sew (1) 2 1/2" x 24 1/4" Diamond 13....". Cutting is listed correctly, Diagram has been corrected in future shipments.
Apologies for any confusion. All patterns printed after 5/29/18 will reflect the above corrections.
Additional Edit: Background needed is 5 3/4 yards, not 5 1/2 yards. IF you want binding the same as per the pattern, then you will need 6 1/2 yards background total.
Apologies for any confusion. All patterns printed after 12/30/18 will reflect the above corrections.
Tranquil
No changes necessary to precutting - typo for Diagram and instructions for Step 10 Fabric D HST. Should read:
10. Fold the Fabric D 4 ¼” HSTs in half along the long side and finger crease to mark the center;
All patterns printed after 05/08/18 will reflect the above correction. Apologies for any confusion.
Tropical Punch
Black - 2 1/4 yds
Cutting for Black:
Should read: (12) 2 1/2" strips
Apologies for any confusion.
Whirly Gigs
You need a total of (28) 3 1/2" Fabric A squares. You can cut them from the remainder of the 7 1/2" strip and the 6" strip.
Whorl
Fabric A - 5/8 yd required
If making the runner, you do NOT need Fabric H, I, J, K. Fabrics H-K are for the table topper only.
Winter Woods:
Updated Pattern:
Page 3 #10 SHOULD READ Fabric D, not Fabric E.
Precutting:
Fabric C - not needed are the (2) 5 1/4" strips.
49. Now your forest is ready for the tree bark.
Cut fusible to fit the (4) cut strips from Fabric I, and fuse to the wrong side of the material following the manufacturer’s instructions.
All patterns ordered after 4/12/15 will reflect the above correction. Apologies for any confusion.
