Boundaries in Kaffe PDF ONLY

PDF ONLY: Where does the boundary for one block end and another begin?  Blocks seem to float and bounce off each other in this modern take on the traditional log cabin block.  Quilt is 50x60, and is shown in Kaffe's newest line from Free Spirit.
